Horses For Opunake Dominion Special Service. HAWERA. February .13, Final gallops of local horses engaged at the Dpunake meeting on Saturday were features of training operations on the Hawera tracks this morning. Both the outside of Hie course proper and the plough were fast, times being assisted by a strong following wind in the straight. Miss Leighon has thrived on her racing lately and should be an early winner. Star Mark was far from disgraced. Tavov (Mills) traversed half a mile smartly in 49 3-5. She has developed into a most attractive marc since last season.

Ring Chief (Ryan) ran the last, two furlongs of a round of pacework in 2(>. 9’he Ringmaster gelding is a vastly improved youngster, likely to score again before the season is far advanced.
