NINETY-THREE YEARS OLD
Mrs. Anu Parsons. Napier, celebrated her ninety-third birthday on Wednesday. ami was the recipient of numerous hearty eongra I ula t ions. Mrs. Parsons came from Jersey in ISG-I with her aunt ami uncle. Mr. ami Mrs. Richard Dolbel. in the British Trident, landing at Napier. Later she went to Gisborne will, her husband, the lain Mr. Samuel Parsons, who was for some years a well-known and successful sheepfarmer in Hie Poverty Bay district. Both there and in Hawke’s Bay Mrs. Parsons had experiences of early pioneering and remembers the troublous times of the Maori War. Mrs. Parsons was one of six sisters who .-amc to Hawke's Bay from Jersey and settled here Mrs. Parsons Ims lived in t'oole Itoad for many years, and from there site has made her home a centre for a wide circle of friends
