Strickland-Alabama Kid Boxing Match
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ February 12.
The president of the Manawatu Boxing Association, Mr. E. R. Wimsett, told a meeting of tiie association s committee that llie profit on tiie Strick-land-Alabanm Kid contest would be at leasl £2OO. He also stated that Hie association would almost certainly lie disciplined for a breach of the rule which provided that no local association should agree to pay a professional a tixed sum, win, lose, or draw, tiie association having done so in this match.
