No Major Encounter In North Africa
MR. FRASER EXPLAINS Not Till Division Is Complete In Egypt l Bv Telegraph —Press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ Feb. 12. The reason for the New Zealand troops not having been in a major encounter in North Africa was explained bv the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, today. He said that till such time as out" division was complete in Egypt it would be military suicide for our men to go evetywhere. Major-General Frcybcrg was not the type of man to do anything of that kind. No man had been more active in getting together and training men who were scattered in many parts of the world. . “When the forces are reunited I do not know what is going to happen,” Mr. Fraser said. Ihete will probably be the grim reality of war, probably more serious than in the Libyan desert, but we know that what men can do our men will do.”
