Late Lord Baden-Powell SIR CYRIL NEWALL MAY ATTEND The Dominion Chief Scout, Marshal of Die Royal Air Force, Sir Cyril Newall, the new Governor-General, may attend the national Boy Scout aud Girl Guide memorial service to the late Lord Baden-Powell, Chief Seoul and founder of the movement. The service, which will be of a solemn religious character, will take place at the Wellington Town Hall on Die afternoon of Sunday, February 23. Arrangements for the service have not yet been finally completed. However, an invitation has been issued to Sir Cyril by the Dominion Headquarters of the Boy Scout Association. Whether lie'wilt accept the invitation wil. not be known till his arrival in New Zealand a few days beforehand, but if be does, this will probably be his first public appearance in the Dominion.

It is expected that the Archbishop of Wellington, Rt. Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland, will officiate at the service, assisted by other clergy, and will deliver flic address in memory of the late Chief Scout.

The Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, the mayor of Wellington, Mr. Hislop, an'd 501)' invited guests will be present, besides some 1800 scouts and guides from the! Wellington district. As Die accommodation at the Town Hall for such a service is limited to 2500 persons, the number of the general public who will be able to attend will unfortunately be strictly limited. The service will take place at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
