FIRST MEETING
Free Kindergarten Council
Tbe AVellingtoii Free Kindergarten Council held its first meeting for the rear on Alonday, Airs. J. A. Doctor piesiding. Airs. Edgar AViren was welcomed as a new member. Arrangements were made for the holding of the annual meetings of local committees dining February, so that an early start can be made with activities for the year. Local branches have had a most encouraging year, and have stimulated much local support in their respective districts.
It has been decided to organize another white elephant auction. Any kindergarten friends who happen to have useful or valuable articles that they can donate for sale are asked to communicate with Mrs. Dowsctt (tel. 50-275), who will arrange for the collection. Full particulars of the sale will be advertised later. The auction of white elephants last year proved an outstanding success, more than £lOO being realized. The Kindergarten Council will be most appreciative of the co-operation of all who assist to make this auction a similar success. The children all show their satisfaction at being back at kindergarten, and the new children are settling in very happily.
