NAVAL OBSERVER AT DARWIN
American Appointment SIDNEY, February 11. The United States Navy Department has appointed Commander Marshall Collins as naval observer at Darwin. Emphasizing the significance of the appointment, the Minister of the Navy, Mr. W. 3)1. Hughes, said it was heartening to know that the United States Navy was taking such a keen practical interest in developments in this part of the world.
