SHIPPING LOSSES
Britain Still Holding Her Own
LONDON, February 11
Figures of merchant shipping losses for tlie week ended February 2-3 show tliat they were below the average for the whole war period, though they were higher than tlie average for January.
The losses were 11 British ships of 40,429 tons, three Allied ships of 13,872 tons, and one neutral ship of 2962 tons, in all 15 ships totalling 57,263 tons.
Authoritative circles in Loudon comment that tlie figures show tliat Britain is still holding her own.
