OLD BOYS ACT AS HOSTS
Members of the Mirrist Brothers’ Old Boys’ Association were hosts at the Catholic Service Club last weekend to a large gathering of soldiers and airmen. Both the Friday and Saturday night dances were popular, also games and community singing. Thanks are due to Miss Patricia Kelly and Leading Aircraftman O’Neill for providing the dance music, also to Private B. Symonds for piano accordion solos. After tea on Sunday many found the evening too hot for dancing, and community singing, darts and quoits were lavcured, while others of the forces were to be found busy with pen and paper in the writing-room. Helpers last weekend included: Mesdames Tomm, Poland, Rollins, Cameron, Howard, Misses Mollie O'Connor, Marry Peoples, Eileen and Rita Simpson, Pat and Joan Kelly, Mavis Campbell, Barbara Logan, jklice Alexander and Patricia Brown.
