Mrs. Fred Perry, Sydney, and Mrs. F. Masters Perry, New Plymouth, have been visiting .Mrs. Frank Perry, "Maraeuui,” Martinborough. Miss Mary Doolan. has been appointed adjudicator for the Napier Competitions.

Mrs. E. Foully has returned to Wellington after a visit to New Plymouth and other parts of Taranaki. Mrs. J. E. Wells, Manaia, Taranaki, was in Wellington last week to see her sou, who is a trainee in the air force at Rongotai.

Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Simpson, Mastertou, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Thwaites, “Lougridge,” Glen Roy, Canterbury, for the marriage of their son Roy to Miss Marjorie Thwaites. Flight Lieutenant lan Morrison and Mrs. Morrison, Ohakea, are visiting Christchurch after spending the weekend at Ilanmer Springs. Miss Kathleen Craig, who for more than three years has been district health nurse in Marlborough, has been transferred on promotion to Masterton.

Mrs. Norman Loisel, Tolaga Bay, who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Acton-Adams, North Canterbury, will arrive at Christchurch today to stay with Mrs. Frank Scott.

Mrs. G. Cresswell, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. A. McEwin, Christchurch.

Mrs. Bewley. 'Wellington, is visiting Mrs. Austin Bewley, New Plymouth. Mrs. E. Muir, Wellington, is visiting her daughter-in-law, Mrs. R. Muir, ■Wanganui.

Mrs. L). F. O’Malley, who has been spending an extended holiday in the South Island, returned to her home in 'Wanganui during the week, accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Leo Walsh, Christchurch. Mesdames A. Lambert and G. Hancock. Misses Hancock, Simister and Smith are Auckland visitors to 'Wanganui.
