Dancing And Piping Association The delegate representing the Wellington centre of the Piping and Dane n” Association reported at the meeting of the centre on Saturday evening that the remit moved by the centre < the annual meeting of the association in Dunedin, seeking a transfer of the headquarters from Dunedin to Wei lington, had been successful. The delegate also reported th. “slotted swords” will not be permitted to be used in any sword dance compeHtion hi New Zealand. Slotted swords are swords to which contrivances 1 been fitted to prevent the ‘ s , wol ' f °"d being easily displaced when danced ° V \ new Dominion rule was adopted making it compulsory that a n apphants for inclusion on 'the list of Dominion judges of piping and dancing must submit their qualifications. It was resolved to inform an inqun ing sports organization that the maximum size of a dancing board was 18ft. bv 18ft. and the minimum 14X oy 12ft It was decided to suggest to sports bodies that not more than four dancers be allowed on the board at the one time.
