A horsefloat containing three horses returning to Gisborne from the Wairoa Racing Club’s meeting went over a bank at Te Hui, the first steep hill on the Gisborne side of Wairoa. Boatsong, owned by Air. R. G. Fenton, got over a partition and was badly injured, but the other horses escaped.
