OLD BOYS’ MATCH

St. Patrick’s Beat Wellington In 1933 a cup was presented for competition annually between old boys of Wellington and St. Patrick’s Colleges. This season’s match took place on Saturday at the AVellington ground and, as the result, the cup was taken by St. Pat’s after a keenly-contested game. The winners scored 220 (Costello SG, Fr. Evatt 54, C. O’Kegan 51 (all retired), and the losers 158 (Baldwin 52 retired, Binnie 3S not out). Appreciation of the visit of the St. Pat’s team was expressed by Mr. L. McKenzie (chairman of the AVellington Colleges Board of Governors) and by Mr. AV. A. Armour (principal of AVellington College), and acknowledged by Mr. L. Chapman.
