RETAILERS CHOOSE PRINCESS
Another princess lias been chosen in support of tlie Commerce Queen in the Victory Queen Carnival. She is Miss Angela Marcels, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Marcels, and is sponsored by the retailers of Wellington. Born in Sydney,, Miss Marcels lias spent four years in New Zealand, where she completed her education, attending the Timaru Girls’ High School. She is a niece of Mr. S. Garland, • Wellington, deputy Consul-General for Greece in New Zealand, and among other talents, lias considerable musical ability. Tlie choice of princess was made from a number of entrants, who presented strong competition.
Cheques Acknowledged. The president and committee of the Citizens’ Day Nurseries greatly appreciated the cheques from the Commercial Travellers’ Association, the Kotary Club, Mrs. Itnnwell, anil Mr. T. Smitten, with which suitable toys lire being purchased for the children.
