Nine Meetings Carded For Tomorrow
GREAT NORTHERN DERBY; CUPS AT STRATFORD, MARTON, WAIRARAPA ' AND WYNDHAM Latest Form And Prospects New Year racing will be in full swing tomorrow with eight galloping meetings and one trotting fixture. Gallops will be held at Auckland, Stratford, Marton, Hastings, Tauherenikau, Greymouth, Waikouaiti and Wyndham, and trots at Addington. .. As was the case at Christmas the principal events to be deemed will take place at Ellerslie, where the feature event will be the Great Northern Derby, and the main handicap the Racing Club Handicap. At Stratford, Marton, Wairarapa and Wyndham the principal race will be the Cup and in the case of the Wairarapa club the Jubilee Cup. All meetings have drawn good fields, and with the weather now set ian tracks are in great order and fast. Waikouaiti and Wyndham are single-day meetings. All the otheis will conclude on Thursday, when Oamaru will hold a oiie-day meeting and the Southland meeting will open, to conclude on Friday.
