Miss Joan Andersen, Hataitai, assisted by her sister, Miss Thelma Andersen, "live a young people’s party recently for 30 friends. -Mrs. Martinius Andersen received the guests wearing a dinner gown of wiue georgette with a sprav of orchids. Mrs. Andersen was assisted by Mr. Peter Jeffery and Mr. Neil Manssen, Wanganui. Gaines and dancing were enjoyed and songs were given by Mi.ss Joan Andersen. Miss Dorothy Seymour also gave items.

In Wellington last week, at rhe Cathedral Church of St. Paul, the marriage was celebrated of Miss Joan Quilliam ami Mr. Bruce Sinclair-Lockhart. Miss Qiiillinm is the only daughter ol Lieutenant-Colonel and Mrs. R. 11 Quilliam. and the bridegroom is the son of the late Sir Robert Sinclair Lockhart and Lady Siuclair-Loekhari '[’he bridegroom’s sister, Mrs. W. R Grace. Nelson, was a visitor to Wei liugton for the wedding.
