Will Of The Late Mrs Susan E. Hooper

Several Wellington missionary activities and charitable institutions benefit by tho will of the late Mrs. Susan E. Hooper, who died at llltliam last month after a long period of residence in Taranaki. To the Wellington City Mission and the Diocesan Social Service Board is bequeathed the sum of £5O each, and a similar amount goes to the Church Missionary Society of New Zealand, London. £5O is left also to each of the following: All Saints Church, Eltham; Barnardo’s Homes, Slum Children in South London, Zenana Bible and Welfare Mission. Dohnavur Fellowship, India; Plunket Society and Red Cross, Eltham. The estate' is being administered by the Public Trustee.

WEDDINGS Henderson —Wyeth

A quiet wedding took place in Knox Church, Masterton, when Nola Phoebe, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Wyeth, Gladstone, was married to Sydney Thomas, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Henderson, Te TVhiti. The Rev. J. Davie officiated.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a smart moonlight blue frock with contrasting wine accessories. Her beautiful bouquet was of deep pink roses, sweet peas and maidenhair fern.

In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Dolina Baird, who chose an orchid frock with a hat of ir deeper shade and carried a trailing bouquet of stocks and sweet peas. Private Edgar Henderson was best man. The reception, attended by close relatives, was held at the Empire Hotel, Masterton. The bride’s mother wore a plum shaded gown with navy accessories and toning bouquet. The bridegroom’s mother wore a floral frock with navy hat and coat and shoulder-spray. The bride travelled in a coat and turban to match her frock.

Wishnowski —McLean

The wedding took place recently at Trinity Congregational Church, Lower Hutt, of Christina McKenzie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. McLean, Lower Hutt, and Maurice Henry, R.N.Z.A.F., only son of Mr. and Mrs. 11. J. Wishnowski. The Rev. K. Bell was the officiating minister, and Mrs. J. Douglas was at the organ. The bride, who wag escorted by her father, wore a graceful white satin gown cut on classical lines and fashioned with a high, heart-shaped neckline and shirred bodice. Her white tulle veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of orchids and white roses. The bride was attended by Misses B. Kennedy and R. Wishnowski (sister of the bridegroom), who wore frocks of cyclamen and mermaid blue respectively, made, similarly to that of the bride, their bouquets being of pink roses, sweet peas and lily-of-the valley. Mr. S. Jones was the best man and Mr. Tom Paul the groomsman. At the reception, Mrs. McLean received the guests wearing a smart black ensemble and picture hat, her shoulderspray being of orchids. Mrs. TVishnowski, who assisted Mrs. McLean as hostess, wore a navy ensemble with fox furs and a toning hat, her spray being of roses and lily-of-the-valley. Mrs. M. H. Wishnowski travelled m a mermaid blue suit worn with a black hat and coat and black accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Wishnowski will make their home in Wellington.

Jensen —Wrigley

Knox Church, Masterton, was the scene of a pretty wedding recently, when Joyce Elenor, only daughter of Mrs. J. C. Wrigley, Bideford, and the late Mr. Wrigley was married to Norman. son of Mr. A. T. Jensen. Hatuma, Hawke’s Bay, and the late Mrs. Jensen. The church was decorated in . toning shades of blue, pink and white lilies, by friends of the bride. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. John Davie. The .bride was escorted by her cousin, Mr. L. Wrigley, New Plymouth, and wore a gown of white-brocaded satin fashioned on princess lines, with a flowing train, the long sleeves coming to a point over the wrists. The veil was caught up with a topknot of orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of lilies and carnations. Miss Phillis Nikolaisen, Mauriceville West, who attended the bride, was attired in a frock of delphinium blue taffeta. Her bouquet was of pink carnations and maidenhair fern. The duties of best man were’ carried out by Mr. Rupert Jensen, brother of th<x bridegroom. A reception was held at the Hotel Midland, where many guests, including visitors from all parts'of Hie North Island. were received by Mrs. Wrigley who wore a gown of black marocain with ermine stole. She was assisted by Miss M. Jensen, sister of the bridegroom, who was in a sage green frock with honey-gold hat and coat. The bride wore a teal blue ensemble for travelling, with matching accessories.

Mr. and Mrs. N. Jensen’s future home will be in Dannevirke.
