Engineer’s Two Years In United States Dominion Special Service. AUCKLAND, December 27. After spending two years in the United States under the terms of a Commercial Fund Fellowship, Mr. C. S. Plank of the engineering staff of the Post and Telegraph Department arrived at Auckland by the Mariposa. He is a son of Mr. C. S. Plank, former chief telegraph engineer of the Post and Telegraph Department, and was educated at the Auckland Grammar School and Victoria" University College. His fellowship was granted under the Commonwealth Fund, ■which was established in 1918, and provides a varying number of fellowships for candidates of British descent of an annual value of about £750 each, tenable for two years at certain American universities.
