BEEKEEPERS’ DINNER

Delegates To Conference Entertained Delegates to tlie annual coutereuee ul the National Beekeepers' Assoeintioii ot New Zealand were entertained at dinner by tlie Wellington branch this week in tile National Club. , Among thuse present were Mr. W. K. Dallas (Department of Agriculture), My. A. E. Field (national president), Mr. G. 11. Kicker (general secretary ami editor of the Beekeepers’ Journal). Mr. W. Nelson (chairman of the Honey Control board), Mr. li. F. Dodson (field instructor of (lie Wellington province). Mr. J. M. Bodmin and -Mr. W. P. Carter (president anti secretary respectively ol tiie Wellington branch). Mr. Bodmin welcomed the delegates and friends attending Hie conference. Mr. Field replied. Mr. Kirker. in bis reply to lite toast ql tlie national executive, proposed by Mr. E. Cannons, referred I" the indefatigable etforts of Mr. W. P. Carter, secretary of tlie Wellington branch, who had also he n largely responsible for arranging tlie dinner. Mr. C. R. Barrett proposed tlie toast of the Department "f Agriculture, I" which Mr. Dallas replied. Mr. Dallas mentioned tiiat social functions such as tiiese were one of the highlights ot the confer ence. He complimentcil delegates on the high standard of conference, and re fered to the satisfactory position of 111" honey industry, tine in great part to the work of tlie field instructors.
