Eight New World Records (Received March 15, 11.55 p.m.) HANOVER (New Hampshire), March 14. At the Dartmouth College annual invitation- games eight new indoor world records were set, including Woodruff’s 1.47.7 for half a mile, which is also under the outdoor murk. Other records are as follows: Dartmouth team, 3.15 for mile relay, also breaking the 1600 metres record; Woodruff. 1.47 for 800 metres: Jim Herbert, New York University Negro, 45.4 for the quarter mile and 47.9 for 400 metres; John Borican, New York University Negro, 3.01.2 for threequarters of a mile: New York University team, 1.27.7 for the half-mile relay.
