A con ference of the National Union of Journalists unanimously passed a resolution deploring the Government censorship distribution, the suppression of important news not informative to the enemy and attempts to influence policy by deletiors. The conference is urging censorship only when news is strategically valuable to the enemy and is requesting the reorganization of the Press and Censorship Bureau “to become a weapon of democracy instead of being the tool of Service departments.”
