, ’7 Figures For Masterton Dominion Special Service. MASTERTON, January 5. Deaths in Masterton have totalled 117 for two years in succession, according to the vital satisfies released today. For December in both 193 S and 1939 the same number of deaths and births were registered. Following are the figures for the year, those for 1938 being in parentheses:— Deaths. 117 (117) ; births registered 273 ■ (259), birth notices 320 (3001; marriages • 132 (118), marriages at registrar's office; 13 (11 ; ). The statistics for December, with those for December. 1935, in parentheses, .are: Births. 27 (27) ; deaths, 8 (8) ; marriages 21 (14).
