Reynaud, told the Chamber of (Deputies that England and France aimed to make their economic co-operation the starting point of European post-war reconstruction. The French policy was against price increases,, rise of exchange rates, and inflation. He forecast meatless days as a preventive of rising prices. He said that £343,000,000 had been repatriated in 12 months, thus strengthening the Exchange Equalization Fund in France, which today was at its highest level since the outbreak of the war.
