An average yarding of bullocks and a small yarding of cows and heifers were forward at the sale conducted in Johnsonville yesterday by Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and Abraham, and Williams, Ltd. Prices for prime heavy bullocks were unaltered, though light and medium-weights were easier than last week -by 5/- to 10/- a head Prime cows met with a good sale at unchanged rates. Unfinished cows were fully 10/- to 10/a head down. Small calves met with a good- sale. „ . No heavv wethers were offered, the yarding chiefly comprising mediumweights and a few light wethers. All prime-quality sheep sold readily at prices on a par with those of last week. Unfinished sheep were hard to quit. Ewes met 'with a good sale, though prices w ere 6d. to 1/- easier on recent rates. Extra prime heavv hoggets held firm. A short yarding of soring lamJbs sold smoothly.
