OBITUARY
Mr. A. T. Esquilant The death hirs occurred of Mr. Alfred Thomas Esquilant at the age of 71 years, states a Dunedin message. One of the best Rugby forwards to play for Otago, Mr. Esquilant,was tc member of the Alhambra club and represented the province from 1889 to 1895 on 11 occasions. He was born in Dunedin and was employed by the "Otago Daily Times” Company as a bookbinder for 40 years. A daughter is Mrs. W, Scott, Christchurch, who as Miss Mabel Esquilant was a noted New Zealand singer.
