“That will be very welcome indeed," said Colonel T. W. McDonald at yesterday’s meeting of the Wellington Education Board when advice was received from the Education Department that Cabinet had approved the payment of horseback allowance on certain conditions. Payment would come into effect as from the beginning of the first term, 1940.
