Coastal Towns Branch
The monthly meeting of the Coastal .Towns Branch of the Plunket Society was held in Paekakariki. Mrs. Gray presided. Progress reports from the sub-branches showed that the work was being well maintained. During the month Mrs. Gray met the mothers at Paremata, and a committee was elected as follows: President, Mrs. Sinclair; vice-president, Mrs. PBradey; secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Hendry; committee, Mesdames Brown, Robertson, Munroe, Hopping, Hunter. Davis, Harland and A’Court. Nurse Broun’s report for the month was as follows: Visits to homes, 147: to rooms, 409; new babies, 11. During the month a lecture and demonstration on mothercraft was given to the Junior Red Cross circle at Plimmerton. •The competition held recently resulted in the sum of £lB/5/0 being raised for the funds. It is proposed to hold a children’s party at Paekakariki on Saturday afternoon, January 13. Mrs. Gray thanked Nurse Broun and all the members who had helped toward the success of the branch, and wished them the compliments of the season. The meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to the president.
