Yachtsmen Hold Dance.
The junior members of the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor Boat Club were hosts on Saturday night when at their invitation' more than 100 yachtsmen and their friends gathered at a dance in the club rooms in honour of the crews of yachts to represent Wellington Province in the centennial regatta. Dress was informal, some wearing evening clothes and others gaily-colour-ed summer frocks; and the blue club blazer was greatly in evidence. A savoury supper was served and a very happy evening was enjoyed by all.
Party For Bride-Elect. Miss Eileen Clark, whose marriage will take place early in the New Year, was the guest of honour at a “chinn ,tea” given by Mrs. M. Hyde at her home, Palmer Street, Wellington, on Monday. Bridge occupied part of the afternoon, prizes being won by .Mesdames Downes and Nichol. Musical items were given by Misses Clark and Rosaleen Hickmott.
