REMAND ON ASSAULT CHARGE

HASTINGS, September 27.
A remand till October 17 was granted by Mr. J. E. Sutcliffe, J.P., when George Barry Edward Allen, aged 19, professional boxer, appeared in the Magistrates’ Court. Hastings, this afternoon charged with having on September 2-1 in Havelock North assaulted Raymond Walter George Davidson so as to cause actual bodily harm. Bail was allowed iu self for £101), with a surety of a like amount.
