The annual concert of the Wellington East Girls’ College will be held in the Batham assembly hall at the college on Thursday and I’riday. At yesterday’s meeting of the Wellington Colleges Board, the principal. Miss N. G. Isaac, reported that half the net. proceeds were to be set aside as a reserve fund for war work. It was proposed to buy in the first instance quantities of wool to be knitted up by the girls into socks and balaclavas to be handed in to the mayoress’s executive through Mrs. Knox Gilmer, who was a member.
