DR. ALEXIS CARREL, the French scientist, who has been given an important mission by the French Government. He is widely known because of his association with the spectacular "artificial heart," on which he and Colonel Charles Lindbergh worked. He is a Nobel Peace prize winner and a member of the Rockefeller Institute. During the Great War he supervised a treatment of war wounds by which many lives were saved.
