BORDER CLASH WITH HUNGARY
Rumania . Breaks Off River Trade Talks LONDON, August 1. After clashes between Rumanian and Hungarian frontier patrols, Rumania decided to break off its trade negotiations, states aunessage from Bucharest. A report from Budapest states that after a six-hour shooting duel between frontier guards across the River Theiss, in which the casualties were few, Rumania broke off negotiations for a river navigation treaty with Hungary.
