KETURNED SOLDIERS
Hataitai Auxiliary’s Meeting
The annual meeting of the Hataitai auxiliary of the Wellington Returned Soldiers’ Association was held recently, the president, Mr. G. Miles, presiding over a good attendance. The annual report showed that the calls on the funds of the auxiliary for the past vear had been considerably less than previously, and satisfaction was expressed at the fact that there appeared to be lithe want among returned soldiers of the district. The auxiliary had been able, by Christmas cheer grants, to brighten the lot of some of their less fortunate comrades. The statement of accounts showed a substantial credit balance, with no liabilities. The election of officers resultal:— Patron, Colonel H. E. Avery ; chairman. Mr. G. Miles; vice-ehairman, Mr. H. R. Biss; secretary, Mr. C. J. 11. Davidson; treasurer, Mr. C. F. Worth; committee, Messrs. F. R. Aveling, T. Christopher, 11. Harris. P. E. Hopburn, E. C. McKay, J. 11. McKay, W. Smith. F. Williamson, RH. Williamson, N. Woods.
