CHOKED BY MEAT
Inquest Into Death Of Man 'ln Wellington
The cause of death was a large piece of meat which stuck in the throat, said the coroner, Mr. E. Gilbertson, at an inquest in Wellington yesterday into the death of Raymond James Marshall, motor mechanic, aged 28, who died in Wakefield Street on July 27. The inquest was adjourned till today to allow medical evidence to lie heard. Senior-Sergeant J. Power appeared for the police. Mr. Gilbertson said that reports that the cause of death was’choking as the result of a potato chip wedging in the throat were not correct. The chip had nothing or very little to do with the death.
