Painted By Countess On Mother’s Wedding Dress
For many years, until destroyed by I he elements, u Hag steeped in romance Hew outside the palace of the Hungarian Regent at: Budapest, says the "Daily Mail,” London. It was made by a young countess, who cut it out of the silk of her mother's wedding dress and decorated it with a painting of tiie Virgin. Site gave it ns a thankoffering to the Regent. Admiral Horthy, as he advanced in 1919 at the head of troops, releasing the country from the grip of Bela Kun. The girl whose career began on.such a dramatic note, grew up into one ol Hungary’s notable portrait painters Countess 1. Knrolyi-Szeclieiiyi. whose first exhibition in Ixmdon is to be opened by the Hungarian Minister at the Arlington Gallery.
