Permanent Forces Raised By 2000 By ’Telegraph.—Press Assn. -Copyright. SYDNEY. February 21. Tlie Federal Government has decided to increase tlie permanent military forces by 2000. At present tlie permanent forces number about 3000. The strength of the militia has reached 61.359. The Minister of External Allans. Mr. W M. Hughes, announced (hat the enlistment scheme will be continued till about 80,000 men have been secured.
