Manteiton.— Sunny and warm, with a moderate westerly wind. Wnngantii.—Cloudy blue .sky anti a strong westerly breeze. The barometer reading nt 4.30 p.m. was 29.82 New Plymouth,,—Bright sunny day, with a westerly Wind, light to strong, but decreasing. Tlte bn rounder at 5 p.m read 2)>Boin. iVaipukurau.—A beautiful line day with bright eunwhine mid a maximum temperature of 78<leg. The barometer \va« very steady, reading 29.68 hi. Nitpier and Hastings.—A moderate to strong south-westerly during the morning. (lying nwn.v nboilt midday. Tlte weather becoming tine mid very hot during tlte afternoon, with a light easterly breeze, Auckland. — Fine, with clouds, the wind being fresh from the south-fc'outh-west. The maximum temperature was GSdeg. Barometric pressure was steady, with a reading at 5 p.m. of 29.90 in. Christchurch. —Fine and sunny, witli a fresh easterly breeze and a maximum temperature of 69.7 deg. The barometer nt 5 p.m. was rising slowly at 29.51 in. Dunedin.—Bright sunshine, with a light soulh-wft-tt breeze, which freshened Considerably in the afternoon. Tlte maximum temperature was (iOdeg., the barometer being steady at 29.50 in.
