Miramar Summer Cup Some good scoring wae done in the Qualifying round of the Summer Cup on the Miramar golf links, Wellington, on Saturday. J. H. Drake did a brilliant round of 72. The M-ellington provincial cliampionship tournament will be held on the Hutt course on the Saturday, Monday and Tuesday of Easter week. April 8. 10 and 11 The championship is decided in (urn on the Wellington. Miramar and Hutt courses!, and it is Hutt’s turn to conduct it this year. It is the intention ol the of the committee of the Hutt Golf Club to put the course in first-class order tor the championship tournament.
Dunean’s Victories. A. D. S. Duncan, who won the championship of the Wellington Golf Club 42 years ago and took his first New Zealand amateur title in 1899, is playing almost as well as ever this season. On Saturday afternoon he won the Ward Cup on 'the Wellington links from .scratch bv beating R. E. Tolbuiwt (a) by 1 up in the final. This is a knock-out handicap event., , , „ , Yesterday the veteran entered the final stage of the'Wellington club championship by beating S. JI. Watson in the semifinal over 36 holes by 4 up and 3 to play. Dunean will now meet D. H. Graham in the final.
