Advice that the Swiss Canton of Neuchatel last year made a gift to Mr. Neville Chamberlain' as a mark of gratitude for his peace-making activities has been received in New Zealand by the Swiss Consulate. It is stated that a public subscription was organized and as a result Mr. Chamberlain was presented with a gold time-piece of Swiss manufacture, which bore the following inscription: “To Mr. Neville Chamberlain, homage of Neuchatel, September, 1938. Blessed are the Peacemakers.”
