A BOY OVERCOMES HANDICAPS
Twelve-year-old John Walford, of McGregor Street, Maesteg, England, has no lingers and only one arm, yet he is a marbles champion—he plays* with his feet.
He is a champion in other things as Well. Recently he won a handwriting competition. The pen was tied by a handkerchief to the stump of his only arm.
John wants to become tin artist. Miners and miners' wives have contributed £2OO to help to give him a good start in life. John lost'both his hands and one arm when lie was knocked down while crossing the railway.
