LONDON, January 11.

A Royal Air Force bomber on a training flight crashed in the Galloway Hills today, and its four occupants were killed. A shepherd, who saw smoke and found the burnt-out plane, travelled 30 miles over snowcovered hills to bring the news. Meanwhile another Air Force machine which was searching descended to within 200 ft. to examine the wreckage. It ran into an air pocket and crashed nearby, but the two njembers of the crew were uninjured.
