Acting-Consul-General For China In Dominion
MR. FENG WANG APPOINTED
The appointment of Mr. Feng Wang as Acting-Consul-General of the Republic of China at Wellington has been recognized, according to a notice gazetted last night.
Mr. Feng Wang replaced Dr. I’ao as Chinese Consul in New Zealand in 1935. For the previous three years he was consul for China in tho Union of South Africa, stationed at Johannesburg. Before that he served for several years as external secretary in Nanking, China, for the Buenos Aires Government. He wars educated at the National University, Tientsin, graduated in 1924, joined the Chinese Ministry of Communications as the secretary in 1926, and in 1928 transferred to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which he left temporarily for the position under the Buenos Aires Ministry.
