Because of the Italian and German air rearmament programmes the Soviet lias ordered an increase of 100 per dent, in the production of aeroplanes iu 1939. Eight new aircraft plants are to be constructed immediately. The War Ministry has undertaken the.‘‘education of the general public regarding types of German and Italian warplanes.” Photographs, and drawings will be distributed throughout the nation so that the public may instantly recognize and report any Italian or German planes crossing Soviet borders.
