The substantial reduction in the number of fire calls received by the Wellington Fire Brigade since March, as compared with the corresponding period of last year, continues. The return received by the Wellington Fire Board yesterday showed that 55 actual Ores and 30 false alarms occurred in November. The total number of actual fires since Marell 31 was 314, compared with 553 for the same eight months of 1037, and the number of false alarms 186, compared with 215. The justifiable false alarms in November numbered 21 and the malicious alarms nine.
