AUSTRALIAN FLOUR TAX REDUCED
CANBERRA, December 16.
The Federal Treasurer, Mr. R. G. Gassy, announced that in accordance with'the advisory committee’s recommendation the flour tax will be reduced by 7/0 to £5/7/6 a ton as from today.
Tlie Flour Millers’ Association also announced a reduction of 7/6 a ton. bringing the wholesale price, inclusive of fax. from £l3/5/- to £l2/10/- a ton. The master bakers stated that the price of broad would not lie changed.
