riir,—Self-interest alone should make us eager to welcome one class of refugee -—the trained psychologist and the psycho-logically-trained teacher —in Austria, specially, so abundant, in New Zealand so sadly to seek. Our Department of Justice, Health. .Mental Hospitals and Education are all in need of just such skilled service, and as for its extreme value for our'children, here is an extract from the London weekly. “Time and Tide” (October 8,1938) : "Between 1921 and .1934 the whole educational forces of Vienna were being handled and inspired by Adler's body of psychologically-trained teachers. . . . Thirty-four State schools had attached to them a child clinic, to which every neurotic or potentially delinquent child was sent for treatment. , . . The result was that, toward the end of this period, child delinquency was stamped out • . . .
