Dull’ nihss in the markets is ticual at this time of the year and there is not likely to bo any revival i/n business before the middle, of‘January. Crop prospects in Canterbury still look good ami according to reports received from merchants the season in other parts of the country promises well also. Southland teports are that fescue, ryegrass and dog.stail are looking well, though it is a little early yet to «iy anything with certainty. A late for instance wout<! make a lot. of difference. Quotations in the local market are nucha nged.
