Pioneer Club

A very pleasant party was held in the Pioneer Club rooms, Wellington, recently when the.members of the arts and crafts circle held their final meeting for Hie year. Mrs. A. S. Mitcheh, circle president, welcomed the members and also welcomed home Mrs. C. Mack. Dunn" the afternoon Mrs. Mirck gave a talk on her travels, describing fully a tour of the Continent. She also told of'a very interesting visit to the Wedgewood pottery works. Afternoon tea was served, after winch Christ nuts gifts were distributed to all present. ~ , Miss Amy Kane, club president, thanked tlie circle committee for a very happy afternoon and expressed regret that the circle would be losing a valued member in Mrs. H. Piper, because of her coining departure from New Zealand. Mrs. K. M. McDonald presented fragrant shoulder-sprays to Mrs. A. S. Mitchell. MLs Vera Dawson, secretary, mid to Mrs. Margaret Whitt, club instructress. Among those present were: Mrs. L. C. Roskruge, life member, Mrs. A. S. Mitchell, president. Mesdames E. L. Fink and C. Batten, vice-presidents, Miss Vera Dawson, secretary, and Mesdames C. Short, J. Tamblyn, J. B. I'inlay, M. Whitt, S. E. Hill, 11. Hanson, Street, A. Brigans, H. Piper, Martyn Williams, E. H. Lawn, R. Nichol, Taylor, N. Gower, E. Turksma Montgomery, C. W. Mack, B. Haines, K. N. Heigbway, E B. Hume, Forster, R. J. Pope, K. M. McDonald, W. E. Hay-MacKenzie, J. Clarke and J. L. Garrard.
