Mrs. Helen Wills Moody announced that she had declined an offer of approximately 1000.000 dollars to turn professional, and intimated t hat she was prepared to carry out another interim lional tour in 1939 on behalf ol the I'nitcd Stales Lawn Tennis Association if Hie latter desired. Otherwise sin did not expect to play any more competitive tennis.
