The Rev. A. B. Kilroy explained the relationship that should exist between tiie new minister and the congregation. At tiie conclusion of the service, tiie minister was welcomed by the congregation in tiie Church hall. Mrs. Dowling was presented with a bouquet on behalf of the ladies’ guild by Mrs. McGregor, and Mr. Dowling was presented with a cushion by Mrs. 'McFarlane, the oldest inennber of the Church.

■Speeches of welcome were made by Mr. Barrett, Mr. J. McMillan, the Rev. C. E. Willis (Anglican), and the Rev. E. S. Hoddinott (Methodist). Air. Dowling suitably replied. Mists Russell was the accompanist. _ A vocal duet was given by Misses Valerie Roberts and Betty Barnsley. Supper was served at the conclusion of the evening.
